To my fellow builders,
I set out to build K-Scale with a very simple goal: to work as hard as possible on the single most ambitious thing I could think of, something which I felt would be of existential importance, at the most high-leverage inflection point in our species' history.
There were many reasons why I chose to build K-Scale as an open-source project, but chief among them was my desire that the effort spent building K-Scale would represent a monotonic step towards an abundant future for humanity. Building general-purpose AI will be the Apollo program of our time, a mountain that the best engineers and scientists will climb together, with material abundance at the summit.
I hope this principle resonates with you. Regardless of whether you view K-Scale as cautionary or inspirational, building beautiful things is hard, non-linear work, but striving to do so is never in vain.
